Professor Tony Moore was presented with a Life Time Achievement Award at the 41st annual meeting of EPOS in Saint Petersburg by Professor Nikolas Ziakas, president of EPOS. Anthony Moore has been president and a driving force behind EPOG, later EPOS for many years. He is a distinguished paediatric ophthalmologist. His knowledge in the field of paediatric retinal disease is unsurpassed. His research is focussed on inherited retinal disease and genetics of childhood cataracts. He is especially interested in the molecular genetic basis of inherited eye disease and the associated phenotype. His ultimate goal is to develop novel therapies to reduce visual disabilities.
